Is your dog hygienic with a second -hand dog cage?

I am going to buy a dog cage for the dogs at home. I see a lot of second -hand transfer on the Internet. I want to ask everyone, do you use second -hand hygiene? What if the dog was ill before, would it stay in the cage?
